2015 season:

The 2015 season has come and gone and we are pleased to report a successful year for the club.

The 1st XI led the way winning the league to make an immediate return to the Premier Division. The team only tasted defeat once in what was a fantastic league campaign and there were notable individual successes over the course of the year - Scott Gibson hitting 751 runs at an average of 57.7 with a score of 209 vs Whitley Bay a particular highlight. With the ball Martin Clark also had an outstanding season taking 61 wickets at an average of 7.31 including eight five wicket hauls! Both were backed up by other great performances over the course of the year and we look forward to playing Premier Division cricket again.

The 2nd XI had their most successful season for a number of years finishing a creditable sixth in the 3rd Division and winning 9 games - a great improvement on previous years. John Briggs Jnr topped the run scoring charts and Keith Puddephatt the averages with 41.2. John Briggs Jnr also led the way with the highest number of wickets for an excellent all round season

Unfortunately the cups were not quite as successful but this should not detract from what has been a fantastic year as off the field we have seen a number of great events topped off by one of the busiest beer festivals in memory. Still to come we have an end of season social at the Sun Hotel Warkworth and don't forget to purchase your official Cricket Club Calendar to plan 2016!
